PA self-priming centrifugal pumps

PA pumps are produced in three sizes and satisfy a wide range of industrial uses: emptying underground tanks, drainage of sump pits, pumping of overload tanks, emptying containers from the top, generic emergency uses.
With a pump casing full of liquid, the priming is automatic and there is no need of any foot-valve.

The range of PA self-priming centrifugal pumps guarantees a hydraulic coverage with flow-rates up to 280 l/min
and heads up to 16 m w.c. (meters water column). The curves refer to clean cold water (ISO9906). Performance
can change as the features of the pumped liquid changes: special care must be given to the vapor pressure that
may inhibit the priming of the pump.

Among our pumps, the parts in direct contact with aggressive liquids are manufactured with corrosion resistant plastic. Selecting the most suitable plastic material is indeed one of the main skills of Savino Barbera. Our choices have always been adaptable to the specific use that our industrial products are intended for.

  • Main thermoplastic materials: PP, PVC, PVDF.
  • One-piece plastic impellers without any metal insert.
  • Shafts with heavy-wall plastic coating.
  • Sliding elements made of Ceramic or Silicon carbide.

The thermoplastic polymer materials available for PA pumps are PP (polypropylene) and PVC (polyvinyl chloride):

Options

Savino Barbera self-priming pumps can be customized with optional equipment:

  • Assembly on wheeled carts.
  • Flushed double mechanical seals.
  • Connections: backing rings, hose adaptors, male threads.
  • PVC baseplates in standard sizes or upon request.
  • Motors with choice of power, voltage, frequency and protection.
