The
portable FUS pumps are designed for
transferring chemical products (non-abrasive and non-viscous) contained in
drums or barrels. Because of their easy handling, they are widely used also for applications such as sampling pumps, for drainage or for emergency services. Convenient and safe to use, FUS
drum pumps are constructed of three materials (
PP, PVDF and AISI) and two motor systems: single-phase electric or pneumatic.
The single-phase electric motor with double insulation (complete with mains cable and handlepiece) allows discontinuous use of the pump. The pneumatic model instead permits heavier and more continuous use.
Compatibly with the
chemical resistance of the construction materials, FUS pumps are appropriate for use with liquids free of abrasive suspended solids at ambient temperature with a specific gravity up to 1.8 and viscosity up to 14 cps. They are not instead appropriate for flammable liquids or for use in areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere.
